But when it comes to explaining his reasons for why he voted the way he did, the call for a logical rationale is justified, don't you think? If he has serious statistical reasons for his voting choices, then we will have to all agree to disagree. But if he flippantly disregards the responsibility he has been given, then I think that opens him up to fair criticism. Alomar - one of the 'best' second baseman in HISTORY ... let me say that once more ... ONE OF THE BEST SECOND BASEMAN IN HISTORY .... is that NOT the qualification that is required to get in the HoF. Did 'the Hawk" somehow become one of the greatest players to play the game (which is what the hall of fame is 'suppossed' to be after 9 years of not playing. Did Alomar and everything that he has achieved somehow not become worthy - all of the sudden - of being one of the best 2nd baseman ever to play b/c a over-weight, opinionated, has need seen a treadmill in at least a decade sportswriter decided so ??!?!?
