Eric Gagne To Make Indy League Debut
(from press release)
Éric Gagné, the 2003 NL Cy Young Award winner, is scheduled to make his first start for the independent CanAm League Québec Capitales this weekend in Quebec City. If all goes as planned, the new number 38 of the Capitales will take the mound at Stade Municipal at 7:05 PM Saturday, June 13, against the Sussex Skyhawks.
The 33-year old righty, born in Montréal, has 187 career saves, a win-loss of record 33-26, and a 3.47 ERA in 10 MLB seasons.
The Capitales front office reports that ticket sales are doing well but says that good seats are still available. You can purchase tickets at the Capitales box office daily between 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Fans can also purchase tickets online at any time.
To meet the demand of fans wishing to attend the Gagné’s first Québec start, the Capitales have provided extra space in general admission (a standing section along the first base line and on the terrace). The Capitales advise Flexi-Choix ticket holders not to wait until just before the start of the game to exchange tickets. It is possible to exchange tickets throughout the week at the box office during normal opening hours.
