Dash It All: Winston-Salem Rebrands

After 14 seasons as Warthogs, the Carolina League baseball team in Winston-Salem (N.C.) has a new name:  Dash.

The city is locally referred to by its distinguishing punctuation mark, and team president Kevin Terry says, “Dash is a name that is associated with the community – it brings Winston-Salem together.”

In addition to a new moniker and logo, the Class-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox will open their 2009 season in a new downtown ballpark.  Season plan tickets are on sale now.
